History:
Immortalized in folklore, fairy tales, and the stories of different civilizations, tortoises are often characterized as both thoughtful, wise, and persistent. This is perhaps best depict by the western folk story “The Tortoise and the Hare.” Although this little fellow is still young, tortoises have some of the longest lifespans in the animal kingdom. With that in mind, you’ll have plenty of time to spend with this wonderful figurine!
