Indoor Activities for When It's Too Cold to Play Outside

It's easy for kids (and moms) to get antsy during these long winter days when it's too cold outside. You might be struggling to come up with engaging activities to keep your kids entertained during these winter months, but we've got you covered!

Here are 6 fun activities to keep you from going crazy.

1. Make a craft

Try a new craft - whether it's a mosaic, sticker activity, collage, or just coloring a picture. The great thing about crafting is the variety and that you can come up with a different craft each day! - But sometimes the inspiration runs dry. Here are some of our favorite craft activities for you to enjoy with your kids!

2. Try a new recipe

Include the kids in making a simple new snack or desert - anything from ants on a log with celery, peanut butter, and raisins to chocolate chip cookies! This is a fun way to invite your kids into the kitchen and teach them something new.

You can keep it mess-free with Bapron - the best bibs for full coverage.

As an alternative to making real food, set up their own play kitchen! Get creative with what you have and add some new pieces to your collection.

3. Build a fort

There's something so special about pulling out all the blankets and pillow and turning the living room into a big fort! Our favorite way to create a fort is with Airforts. Just add a box fan, and the kids can play in style.

4. Create an at-home salon/ barber shop

Pull out the nail polish and hair styling tools to make believe at home. If you're brave, let your kids style you!

5. Put together a puzzle

If you're in it for the long-haul, try a new puzzle. The satisfaction of putting in the last piece cannot be matched.

7. Make some music

Turn on your favorite songs, pull out your instruments, and dance around the house.

Whether your day is cold, snowy, rainy, or sunny, we hope this inspired you with ways to keep your kids entertained during these winter months!
