Regal Dream Diaper 2.0

I previously used (and really liked) the Smart Bottoms 3.1. I had received those second hand, but was quite pleased with their performance. I had passed them along because we wanted to completely eliminate plastic from our diapering routine and were using organic flats with wools covers. We did this for a decent period, but eventually got fed up with scrubbing the wool covers because our daughter was expert at blowing out and it would always go right past the flats onto the wool cover. We thought reintroducing a diaper with elastic around the legs and waist would make our lives a bit easier as we would be eliminating scrubbing time. I contacted Smart Bottoms to enquire about the safety of their plastic and was pleased with their reply (the owner was even emailing me directly, so I was impressed). But the 2.0 ended up being incredibly disappointing. Not only was **** escaping the 2.0, but pee as well. I have had to change my daughter’s sheet and mattress protector many times in a week from peeing through the diaper. She is 20 months old and had one nap where she peed through two diapers (I changed her in the middle of the nap because of peeing through and at the end of the nap she had peed through again)! No matter how we snap the 2.0, it doesn’t seem to fit well. There is gapping and everything escapes. And I am using the same washing routine that has been effective with so many other types and brands of diapers, but the 2.0 always come out with **** flecks still on them. We have been so upset about the investment we made into these diapers as we bought 3 days’ worth (and I’ve been so sad that I no longer have the old 3.1’s). All that to say, we do not recommend the 2.0 at all!
